WTF?

So freakin’ adorable right? Someone with really good intentions decided that it would be cute to knit an animal hat for his/her grandkid.

And then somehow along the way this well-intentioned (and good idea) turned into a trend that I really do not understand. Adults in animal hats? Creepy. It’s such a trend that mass retailers like Target have jumped on-board and for the low price of $10.00 you too can be the cat, panda, bunny, monkey, etc. that you always wanted to be.

It’s just bizarre. I think it’s safe to say that this is one trend that I will most definitely be passing by. And I know that I said that about Uggs too; but I live in Oregon now and my feet were cold and they are so comfy that I went for it. I think it’s safe to say that they are exponentially more practical than a panda hat.

What do you think about this trend? (Answer carefully. I’d hate to terminate our relationship over this issue)

  1. The pictures took me back to when I was around ten (late 70’s) to a picture of me with a furry hat and coat plus bell bottoms. It was not a flattering picture of your mom. The picture gathered many laughs from friends and family. Needless, to say I been there and done that and do not want to visit that trend again. As always love you bunches!!!

P.S. What do you think happened to that flattering picture of your mom???

  2. Oh, how I wish you still had that pic. I’m not sure what you’ve done with it but I’d like it to resurface. And if it does I think it should be posted on here.
